Term 3 June
I continued to use the easi speak microphone and the children are now able to use it effectivly. They are much more critical and able to give precise constructive feedback about themselves with how they are speaking. Children are making comments about how clear they are, fluency and expression.

in maths i have been using the computer pod and have seen a change in the chn focus for the duration of this acitivity. They are really enjoying it and the types of activities mean they have to check their answer so they are beginning to monitor how they are achieving.

Term 3 June
I have videoed myself teaching Guided Reading and I am using this to reflect on the types of questions I am asking and how much teacher talk there is. My BT has also done the same and our next step is to watch each others video and give some feedback. This in turn will help us to see where we can improve our quesioning to improve student acheivement.

Aug LT took top reading group to teach kidspiration to. they then taught next group of kids down. teacher want to use kidspiration as part of reading program pre and post activities.

August - I had the top group continue this as a reading activity after the reading has finished. They are very independent and enjoy this task. So far they have had no difficulty in setting up and knowing how to use the programme, they seem to good at problem solving anyway. I would like to work with some of the other groups now. Debra

Aug LT took next two reading groups so every one has had some teching on kidspiration. therefore being able to have a go independently in class.

Aug - I have been using the keyboard activities with phonics based activities and this is helping when they are word processing too. We have also been looking at newsboard time how we would change letters to capital letters.Having only started my class this term I have had the opportunity to retrain or set up new routines with the computer, camera etc and I am finding it very useful.

Aug- LT went through most of class showing them powerpoint writing with picture. all seemed keena nd capable to have a go next week. Goal to use during writing time 2 on computer at once then have it as part of a reading rotation so they are reading there own stories therfore giving there writing a purpose.

2 September Sue taught and refreshed the children on how to use the easi speak microphone I was not in the class but the following day the chn were able to teach me how to use it. We have now read stories onto the easi speak and put them on a powerpoint. I have copied and pasted them onto the laptop pod and they can be used at reading time on the computer. A box of books will be witht the computers with the selected titles in them. this will be great reading mileage.

September 2010 - Reflection after performance management
The ICT that I have been using in reading has improved student achievement because the children that have been listening to the reading from the easi speak have been able to recognise what fluent reading sounds like because it is modelled to them with a variety of text and often. The children are then able to listen to themselves and instantly listen to how it sounds. Since they have heard how it should sound they are able to evaluate their own reading. Children are also reflecting better rather than just saying it didn't or did sound good they can pin point what punctuation they are not using or discuss the rythum and pace.

Using the easi speak has allowed for some students to become more independent at reading time because the purpose of using the technoloy is clear and they can see the improvement themselves.

The children are now viewing the wiki on a regular basis and enjoy seeing other children's work. Children who have older siblings at school have had more opportunities to see it because they are sharing this at home.

Final Report
After being on the ICT contract I have noticed that I am thinking more about how to include ICT into my everyday teaching programmes. I think this is becoming more of a habbit because the children are so motivated and there have been some notable shifts in their learning because of the ICT. Not only are shift being made in the academic sense but it is an opportunity to see the children growing using our school valuesl. The ICT component in lessons allows children to work together, peer teach, be inquisitive about learning, share and celebrate their wonderful work.
The tools I have used are wordle, easi speak, power point stories, news on power point, word, camera, wiki and lots of other web sites.
I feel far more capable of using different tools and this is because I have developed in confidence to have a go and play around with tools, plus the children are very capable of picking up new things.
The way the contract was run there seemed more benefical. Sue and Jill were both fantastic to work with and I think as a cluster we should still meet up and share ideas and resources.
